Les Arcs is a fantastically popular resort and appeals to every level of skier and snowboarder. It is the birthplace of amateur freestyle and freeride in France but has never lost its appeal for families probably due to the great facilities and an expansive list of evening entertainments; there really is something for everyone here! The resort itself is divided up into 4 villages: Les Arcs 1600, Les Arcs 1800, Arc 1950 and Les Arcs 2000. Les Arcs 1800 recently added the ‘Mille 8’ area including a terrain park, sledging and night skiing and for those who are not looking to ski there is also a swimming pool and gym.
The Paradiski ski area is made up of 3 prestigious ski areas: Les Arcs, La Plagne and Peisey-Vallandry. Together they offer 131 ski lifts, servicing 425km of pistes. The area also includes two terrain parks, beginner slopes, glaciers and some of the best views in the Alpes.
You can easily travel between all the Les Arcs villages by shuttle bus for free. There is also a link to Bourg Saint Maurice by road and by funicular. The Bourg Saint Maurice Train station is the terminus for TGV and Eurostar services to Lyon, Paris and London. There are transfers by bus or taxi readily available to all major airports such as Grenoble, Lyon, Geneva and Chambery. You can also ski easily between the different villages that make up Les Arcs.
