In 1946, the General Council of Savoie decided to create a site especially for snow sports in a mountain community. The avant-garde resort of Courchevel was born thanks to Laurent Chappis, a ski enthusiast and great lover of the mountains. Today, Courchevel is a ski resort with many assets. Gathering different villages, several destinations are available to you: Saint bon, Le Praz, La Tania, Le Village, Moriond and Courchevel 1850. The ski resort of Courchevel is part of the 3 Vallées, the largest ski area in the world. With more than 600 km of slopes, it is a huge playground for you. You can enjoy the ski area of Meribel, Les Menuires and Val Thorens from Courchevel.
With its 150 km of slopes, the Courchevel ski area is vast and varied. Harmoniously combining marked trails and natural areas, the resort caters for all levels and will satisfy all your desires. For carving fans, a timed slalom is available at 180, and for powder fans, special Peuf slopes have been reserved for you in the Moriond, Chanrossa and Saulire area.
The resort also offers unforgettable family moments with the Family Park or the Indian slope. Fun areas for a fun slide for all levels!

Only 2 hours from Lyon-St-Exupéry airport, the ski resort of Courchevel is quickly accessible from major cities. It is served by the Moûtiers train station located 30 minutes from the slopes which links the Tarentaise to the largest European capitals. A system of free shuttles circulates between the different villages (St Bon, Le Praz, Courchevel Village, Courchevel Moriond, Courchevel 1850), the access to Courchevel 1850 can also be done via the gondolas of Le Praz and Courchevel Village. Finally, Courchevel has an altiport for national and international flights.
