Located only 15km from the Italian border, the town of Chamonix is accessible via the Mont Blanc Tunnel and the Autoroute Blanche (A40). The Col de la Forclaz and the Col des Montets separate the resort from Switzerland. In the high season, buses run from Geneva airport.
