La Plagne is made up of 11 destinations which welcome all snow sports lovers; La Plagne Vallée, La Plagne Montalbert, Plagne 1800, Montchavin les Coches, Plagne Bellecôte, Plagne Centre, Plagne Aime 2000, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Belle Plagne and Champagny en Vanoise. Everyone has their own strengths and personality. From the typical mountain village to the more modern resort, La Plagne meets everyone's expectations.
Emile Allais, a French skiing legend who won three gold medals at the world championships in 1937, discovered La Plagne in 1960. Four municipalities joined forces to create the Syndicat Intercommunal de La Grande Plagne (SIGP). In collaboration with an architect, they imagine an "integrated station", perfectly adapted to its environment. In 1992, La Plagne hosted luge and bobsleigh events, becoming an unmissable destination.
In summer, the resort transforms its ski slopes into a large bike park accessible for all levels. Its immense playground offers forests, mountain pastures, natural trails to hurtle down the mountain bike tracks at full speed! Organizing the mythical 6000D alpine trail, amateurs and professionals alike will compete over 6,000 meters of vertical drop! Be careful to choose your trail gear!
