Valmeinier, the winter sports destination

Situated at an altitude of between 1800 and 2750 metres, Valmeinier is the highest ski resort in the Maurienne. Linked to Valloire by the Galibier Thabor ski area, it has almost 160km of pistes waiting to be explored. Coming on holiday to Valmeinier

There are several ways to get to Valmeinier's ski slopes. By car or car pool, take the A43 motorway towards Saint Michel de Maurienne, then exit at junction 29 and take the D902 departmental road. To reach the Maurienne valley by train, get off at St-Michel-Valloire station. During the high season, TGV trains run directly from Paris to St-Michel-Valloire. There are also Altibus shuttle buses from the bus station to the Valmeinier resort.
