Arc 1600: an avant-garde ski resort

An enchanting winter destination, Arc 1600 is known for its traditional and innovative alpine charm. Nestled at 1600 meters above sea level, it offers breathtaking views with a breathtaking view of the summit of Mont Blanc.  Recognizable between a thousand, the village of Arc 1600 combines creative genius and lifestyle in the mountains.

Who created the Les Arcs resort?

It is in a context of democratization of winter sports that the projects of creation of ski resorts are born. Faced with the growing demand of tourists, it is a real urban revolution in the mountains. It is in this context that Roger Godino and Robert Blanc created Les Arcs resort, calling on Charlotte Perriand. Imagining a tourist site in the middle of nature is a challenge worthy of the architect. Skier and mountain enthusiast, Charlotte has always imagined she could create “the perfect ski resort” and develop residences where “every floor would have a view of the horizon”.

Arc 1600: Living together in the mountains

From 1967 to 1989, Charlotte Perriand devoted herself to the integration of architecture into the environment, with “a volume of harmony”. With the realization of leaning buildings perpendicular to the slope, each balcony has an incredible unobstructed view of the mountains. True concentrates of inventiveness, the residences of Charlotte Perriand advocate intimacy and living together in the mountains. Acoustic comfort, no vis-à-vis, it’s a revolution for tourists.
